Redesigning is complex, and it isn’t always the best option. As technology changes, new things emerge, so cPanel has decided to make some changes as well – create a new theme – Jupiter. Creating a new cPanel theme is not easy and cPanel needed to preserve what its current users liked while still providing a user-friendly interface for new users. A new cPanel theme has two primary pages: the Tools page and the Applications page. You may quickly flip between these two pages using the main cPanel menu page.
Jupiter’s interface is designed to be simple and straightforward, resembling a comprehensive list of everything you can do with cPanel. Nevertheless, the new theme interface does not replace your beloved Paper Lantern theme, so you won’t be compelled to switch. Hostens believes, together with cPanel, that most people will favor Jupiter in the future, owing to the numerous benefits it offers. The idea is for all website owners to spend more time on their primary focus (their website) and less time figuring out how to use the cPanel functions.
The Tool page
Experienced users will be familiar with the Tools page. This is the home page by default. cPanel organized the programs in the control panel into categories. You may manage these groups in any sequence by clicking and dragging them, much as in Paper Lantern. The General Information and Statistics panels on the right sidebar provide quick access to website and server information.
The Applications page
The Application page directs you to the Installatron page to find all the web applications that can be added to your site, including multiple installations.
There you will see six sections of web applications:
1) apps for Community Building;
2) apps for Content Management;
3) apps for e-Commerce and Business;
4) apps for Photos and Files;
5) apps for Survey and Statistics;
6) apps for Miscellaneous.
Select the software from the list to install an application and click its install button. The installation is automatic and takes up to a couple of minutes.
The modified header
Furthermore, there is a search box in the header at the top of the Tools and Applications pages, which is standard in today’s interfaces. Within the cPanel Jupiter interface, the search box helps all users to find whatever they’re looking for.
In addition, directly next to your cPanel account name is a drop-down menu. It gives you access to Account Preferences, Password & Security, Contact Information, Reset Page Settings, and Log Out features.
Conclusion
Changes may be beneficial, as seen by cPanel’s new and better user interface. Don’t be afraid of this new cPanel theme. It is easy to use and not much was changed. However, if you are struggling with the new theme, please contact our support team, and we will help you.
